embossed in a round slug plate as follows:
Cedar 3088 / McFarlane's / DAIRY / PITTSBURGH, PA.
ONE QUART LIQUID (on front heel)
REGISTERED (on reverse heel)
large solid M and 1 / M inside a triangle / 9 (on base)
clear glass, boldly embossed...mold seams stop below the top...dates to approximately the 1920s...untumbled condition...bottle measures approximately 9.5" H x 3 5/8" D
excellent condition- no major damage- no chips or cracks...some scuffs and scratches and a couple of very small fish eyes (see last pic), the kind u can just feel with a fingernail...some interior haze / stain..displays great as is, but would clean up nicely with a quick tumble
a very nice, hard-to-find Quart McFarlane's milk from Pittsburg, which based on research appears to have been a smaller dairy on the North Side..
