Vintage Mid Century Hand Painted Macau Oriental Imari Console Centerpiece Bowl

Hand decorated Oriental Imari style console or centerpiece bowl. Exquisitely painted in Macau on Chinese porcelain and enhanced with heavy gilt trim, the bowl is a mid-20th century artistic interpretation that is reminiscent of classic Imari designs. A series of cartouche on both the interior and exterior of the bowl depict a lion and phoenix against an exotic ground of aqua, orange, green, rust, and blue. Substantial in size, this is a quality piece that measures 10” in diameter, stands 4” in height, and weighs 3 pounds. You’ll find the bowl in wonderful vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, prior repairs, or other compromising imperfections. The colors are vibrant and true and the gilt enhancements are fully intact.
